Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician for an urgent Locum Tenens assignment providing 24 hour call coverage at an acute care community hospital. The physician will provide comprehensive OB/GYN services including deliveries, antepartum care, gynecologic procedures & routine OR cases.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage obstetric patients during labor & delivery
• Perform vaginal & cesarean deliveries as clinically indicated
• Provide antepartum & postpartum care
• Evaluate & manage OB/GYN patients requiring urgent care
• Provide gynecologic consultations & treatment
• Perform routine OB/GYN surgical cases in the OR
• Respond to OB/GYN emergencies during call
• Collaborate with NPs, midwives, nurses & other clinical staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
• Provide care within approved clinical privileges & hospital protocols
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Fellowship required
• Board certification/eligibility within 5 years as applicable
• Current South Carolina medical license required
• Current EPIC experience required
• Must be comfortable providing independent 24 hour OB/GYN call coverage
• Prior travel/Locum Tenens experience preferred
• Academic medical center experience not required
Working Hours
• Urgent coverage needed for specific dates
• November 26 to November 29, 2026
• December 4 to December 7, 2026
• December 11 to December 13, 2026
• December 23 to December 27, 2026
• December 31, 2026 to January 1, 2027
• Submit candidates with the specific dates they are available to cover
