Overview
A premier regional healthcare facility located near Upper Sandusky, OH, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician for ongoing locum tenens call coverage. This position provides crucial coverage for hospital ER/GYN and Labor & Delivery patient needs. It is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician looking for a flexible schedule in a highly supportive, collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Comprehensive Call Coverage: Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM) managing ER/GYN triage, unassigned patients, and inpatient consultations.
• Surgical & Delivery Care: Perform routine and emergent Cesarean sections, scheduled D&C procedures, and general OB/GYN-related surgeries.
• Unit Support: Manage a dedicated Labor & Delivery environment featuring 10 LDRP beds, 3 postpartum beds, and 1 triage bed alongside a collaborative team of 2 staff physicians and 5 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs).
• Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records utilizing the Epic EMR system.
Qualifications
• Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board Status: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license and valid DEA registration.
• Certifications: Current ACLS and NRP certifications.
• Skillset: Proven proficiency in independent OB and GYN surgical procedures with recent case logs available upon request.
