Job Title: Locum - Physician - OB/GYN
Facility & Practice Overview
Join a dynamic healthcare facility located in Kearney, Nebraska, a 268-bed regional referral center. This acute care hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The institution is supported by a private group that is the only practice in town for Obstetrics and Gynecology, covering both GSH & KRMC. We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician & Gynecologist to provide essential inpatient coverage during critical gaps.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 coverage for OB/GYN services, responding to emergency department calls for precipitous deliveries, including both vaginal births and cesarean sections.
- Manage gynecology consultations and treatments as needed.
- Conduct daily rounding on all admitted patients and respond to consults during the assignment.
- Perform diagnosis and management of conditions occurring during pregnancy through postpartum.
- Execute major and minor abdominal and vaginal surgical procedures on the female pelvis and related structures.
Qualifications
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology (REQUIRED)
- Active Nebraska medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with an active Letter of Qualification (LOQ) (REQUIRED)
- Completion of an ACGME/AOA accredited Residency Training Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice history (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
- Availability at time of name clearing (REQUIRED)
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Nebraska medical license or IMLC with an active LOQ
- Completion of accredited residency training
