Opportunity Highlights
A community hospital in Alpena, Michigan is seeking an experienced OB/GYN physician for ongoing locum tenens call coverage. Multiple dates are available from August through November, with potential for additional recurring assignments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OB/GYN physician seeking call-focused locums work, flexible scheduling and strong compensation.
Clinical Responsibilities
The physician will provide full-spectrum OB/GYN call coverage, including:
- Labor and delivery
- Vaginal deliveries
- Operative deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- Suction D&Cs
- Laparoscopic procedures
- Circumcisions
- Tubal ligations
- NST interpretation
- Emergency obstetric and gynecologic care
- Inpatient OB/GYN consultations
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years
- Active Michigan license preferred
- IMLC candidates considered
- ACLS, BLS and PALS required
- ACGME-approved training required
- Recent experience performing deliveries and GYN procedures
- 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within the previous 12 months
- NPDB report dated within 90 days
- Three professional references from the previous 18 months
- No significant malpractice history
