Monday – Friday, 8a-5p rounding on patients and then on call

• Does the practice have any midwives? No Midwives
• How many deliveries did the group perform last year? 500
• % of OB vs. GYN? 80/20
• NICU Level? NoNICU....Level One Nursery

• Required procedures? All OB Procedures Performing Circumcisions is a PLUS
JOB INFORMATION:

Practice Description:
o Setting (IP/OP): IP
o Daily Responsibilities: Typical OB/GYN
o Shifts/Schedule Expectations (ex. Monday – Friday, 8a-5p etc.): 24 hour Coverage
o Call Schedule/Responsibilities (Define Schedule, Time To Return, Average # of Calls etc.): 7am to 7am each day
o PPD/Census: Average 3-5 per day
o Number of Providers Per Shift & Support Staff: Sole Provider—Nursing Support Staff and the ability to call in another provider to help with surgeries
o Procedures Required/Preferred: All OB/GYN Procedures
o EMR: EPIC
• Certifications Required/Accepted: Board Certification Required after 5 years of practice...Board Eligible if less than 5 years
• Will a Licensing Candidate Be Considered; IMLC Providers: Yes but Ohio License Preferred
Duties include:
1. Rounding on post-partum patients
2. Any spontaneous deliveries that come to the hospital from the group practice being covered for
3. Performing any prescheduled C-Sections
4. ER Coverage when the date they are covering also corresponds to date of unassigned ER Call. There is another independent doctor in addition to the current provider in the practice that shares this unassigned Call.
5. On weekends we do not schedule cases
6. Available for spontaneous labor patients from the Practice
7. ER Gyn Call (on some days if the rotation lands on a day when they are covering)
Patient Volume: 15-20 outpatient visits per day,
1-2 Deliveries per day (50-60 deliveries/month)
6 - L&D beds
Support Staff: nurses, midwifes
Requirements/Procedures: manage L&D, including high-risk obstetric cases, and c-sections; GYN surgeries (laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures)
24 hour Call on a Weekday—All Inpatient Work—-No Clinic
We deliver 35+ weeks
Level 1 Nursery (So they need to be NRP Certified) ** This is a new requirement
No NICU but we do have a Neonatologist from Main Campus there every day to cover the nursery
