Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist to provide ongoing inpatient obstetric coverage at a facility with a Maternal Level III designation and Level III NICU.
The ideal provider will have strong experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients and be comfortable providing consultations, obstetric triage coverage, surgical assistance, and coordinating transfers for patients requiring a higher level of care.

Clinical Responsibilities
The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for:
- Providing consultations for obstetric hospital patients presenting to the Emergency Department or any hospital-owned clinic providing care to obstetric patients
- Evaluating patients presenting with acute obstetric symptoms or signs of labor in the hospital's obstetrical triage unit
- Providing surgical assistance to the hospital's OB/GYN physicians
- Coordinating transport of acute or critically ill obstetric patients to or from other facilities when appropriate
- Supporting the hospital's obstetric services and providing timely evaluation and management of patients
Requirements
- Board Certification required
- Active Texas medical license required
- Minimum 5 years of OB experience required
- Strong inpatient obstetric experience
- Ability to manage acute and high-risk obstetric presentations
- Comfortable working collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians and hospital staff
