Assignment Details Coverage Type: Call Only Setting: Inpatient Start Date: July 2026 Ongoing Coverage Call Type: 24-Hour Beeper Call Response Time: 30 minutes Average Patients Seen: 5 per shift Average Admissions: 2 per shift Average Phone Consults: 5 per shift EMR: Cerner/Athena ### Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Active Alaska License BLS PALS DEA Ability to complete emergency credentialing Full-scope OB/GYN experience ### Clinical Details Inpatient OB/GYN call coverage Low-risk and high-risk obstetrics Vaginal deliveries C-sections Breech deliveries Multiple gestations VBAC management Fetal monitoring interpretation OB ultrasound interpretation Amniocentesis Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations Office and minor gynecologic procedures Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery Trauma Level III facility Average callback rate: 40% ### Community Details Palmer, Alaska Located in the Mat-Su Valley approximately 40 miles north of Anchorage Surrounded by mountains, glaciers, and year-round outdoor recreation Popular destination for hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and winter sports Easy access to Anchorage via the Glenn Highway
