Job description
Locum Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) opportunity in Ketchikan, Alaska. This position offers a flexible recurring schedule, excellent compensation, and the opportunity to practice the full scope of OB/GYN in both clinic and hospital settings while working with a supportive clinical team.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage obstetric and gynecologic patients.
Perform routine clinic visits, labor & delivery coverage, and emergency consultations.
Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage.
Collaborate with the emergency department, hospital staff, and the on-call OB/GYN physician.
Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Active Alaska medical license or willingness to obtain one
Current BLS certification
Recent OB/GYN clinical experience with 24 months of case logs available for credentialing
Comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient care
Working Hours
Assignment: Ongoing coverage
Schedule: Clinic Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Coverage: Approximately 7 days of first or second call, including weekday and weekend 24-hour call
Skills
Experience managing labor and delivery, gynecologic care, and obstetric emergencies
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Proficiency with Epic EMR
