WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated and experienced OBGYN professional to join our team as an Associate Director MD. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of certified nurse-midwives in a collaborative care model, contribute to the development of a new maternity clinic, and engage in both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The position is designed for professionals who are passionate about improving maternal health outcomes and have a strong commitment to teaching and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of certified nurse-midwives in a collaborative OB/GYN-midwifery care model.
- Practice in a newly renovated Labor & Delivery unit with a holistic, Planetree-certified approach.
- Help launch and shape a new maternity clinic.
- Deliver lower C-section rates, higher VBAC success, and reduced preterm births.
- Manage 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient responsibilities, including laborist shifts 1-2 times a month (12-hour shifts), outpatient days, admin time, and OB/GYN hospital duties.
- Engage in teaching OB/GYN residents.
- No on-call requirement, with no nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Must be Board Certified (BC) in OBGYN.
- Need a Connecticut (CT) license.
- 3 years of experience with leadership required.
