Locum - Physician - OB/GYN Opportunity in Petoskey, MI!

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to provide locum coverage at one of two Michigan locations from August through December 2026. This assignment combines clinic responsibilities, labor and delivery care, and call coverage in a collaborative environment supported by nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate will be an experienced local physician comfortable managing the full spectrum of general obstetric and gynecologic care.

Dates & Schedule

Coverage Period:

• Start: August 2026
• End: December 31, 2026

Work Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 8 hours of patient care daily
  • Up to 6 hours may consist of clinic coverage
  • Includes night call responsibilities
• Weekend Coverage: 24-hour call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays

Job Details & Responsibilities

Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology

Patient Volume:

• Outpatient clinic: 6–8 patients per day
• Approximately 1.5 deliveries per day

Support Staff:

• 2 Nurse Practitioners

EMR System:

• Cerner

Responsibilities:

• Provide routine prenatal care
• Manage outpatient OB/GYN clinic patients
• Perform vaginal deliveries
• Perform Cesarean sections
• Manage VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) patients
• Participate in weekday night call and weekend call coverage

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in OB/GYN
• Active Michigan medical license
• Minimum of 2 years of OB/GYN experience
• Local candidate required
• Must submit rates at the time of name clear
