Job description
This OBGYN Locum Tenens position is located in Colorado.
Location: Southern Colorado (Inquire for specific hospital location)
Duration: July – December 30 (high probably to extend into 2027 depending on perm hire (option to go perm if a good fit)
Reason for coverage: down 1.5-2 FTE (PC also has Perm search)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8a-5p + night / weekend call
Call: 1:4 call rotation (CNW – take primary call, OBGYN are backup call)
Patient volume: 12-20 patients per day in clinic (400 deliveries per year)
50-60% population is Spanish (translators if provider doesn’t speak Spanish)
Good bit of Guatemalan population
Biggest employer in community is the hospital (median to older age demographics)
Scope: OBGYN Clinic + call. They do utilize vacuum and forceps during delivery if needed (any deliveries under 36 weeks are shipped out)
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Hospital: 49 bed level 3 trauma center, level 1 NICU/nursery
Group/support: 2.5 OBGYN (currently, come October will be down to 1.5 FTE) + CNM (full clinic support staff and hospital sub specialty. Each provider gets a designated MA + RN in clinic for support
Requirements (boards, license): BC/BE with Colorado or Compact license
Rates: Client is open on rate structure. (hourly + pager + call back) or flat daily rate
