OB/GYN Hospitalist Locum Opportunity | Long-Term Assignment | Located in Florida

We are currently seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN Hospitalist for a long-term locum tenens opportunity supporting a well-established Women's Services program within a Level IV Obstetrical Program located in Florida.

Opportunity Overview:

• Start Date: 12/31/2025
• Assignment Length: 6+ months
• Coverage Model: 24/7/365
• Shift Type: 24-hour in-house coverage
• Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Volume Need: Approximately 10-15 shifts per month
• Staffing Model: Two physician model
• EMR: Epic

Scope of Work:

Provide comprehensive OB/GYN Hospitalist services including:

• Labor and Delivery coverage
• Emergency obstetrical care
• Inpatient consultations
• Surgical support
• Management of unassigned obstetrical patients
• Collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists and hospital clinical teams
• Coverage across Labor & Delivery, OB Emergency Department, and inpatient units

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-house Labor & Delivery coverage
• Manage obstetrical emergencies and urgent gynecologic concerns
• Evaluate and treat unassigned obstetrical patients
• Perform inpatient consultations
• Assist with cesarean sections as needed
• Support inpatient obstetrical care
• Coordinate care with consulting specialists and hospital staff

Program Volumes:

• Approximately 1,000 annual deliveries
• Approximately 2,800 annual OB Emergency Department visits
• Approximately 520 annual C-section assists annually
• Approximately 130 annual surgeries
• No Certified Nurse Midwife program

Requirements:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN
• Minimum one year of post-training experience required
• Active state medical license preferred
• Recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Comfortable providing independent OB/GYN Hospitalist coverage
• Experience managing obstetrical emergencies
• Experience with inpatient obstetrical care
• Ability to perform C-section assists as needed
• Experience in a Level IV obstetrical program or similar high-acuity setting preferred
