## OB/GYN Physician | Eureka, CA Northern California Coast — Humboldt County ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Setting: Inpatient and outpatient — Level III Trauma Center; Stroke Certified * In-house call — 20-minute response time required * 30 patients per shift — approximately 1,500 deliveries per year * EMR: Epic * Credentialing timeframe: 90 days * Licensing reimbursement provided * ACLS and BLS certification required ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN Physician to fill a long-term vacancy at a well-established OB/GYN practice serving the Northern California coast: * Approximately 1,500 deliveries per year * Low and high-risk pregnancy management — required * FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE — required * OB Ultrasounds Level I and Level II — required; performance and interpretation preferred * Routine vaginal delivery, low forceps, and C-section decision-making — required * Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations — required * Office and minor gynecology including IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP — required * Surgical gynecology including open, laparoscopic, and operative/major procedures — required * Complicated deliveries including C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs — preferred * Laser certification — preferred * Fellowship training required ## Required Certifications * ACLS — required * BLS — required * Additional certifications as specified — required ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology * California medical license or willingness to obtain — licensing reimbursement provided * ACLS and BLS certification — required ## About the Community – Eureka, California * Charming Victorian coastal city of approximately 27,000 — the largest city on the Northern California coast * Seat of Humboldt County — surrounded by ancient redwood forests and the Pacific Ocean * Home to stunning Humboldt Bay, Old Town Eureka, and the Blue Ox Millworks * Gateway to Redwood National and State Parks — among the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world * Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, kayaking, whale watching, and exploring the redwoods * Vibrant arts and cultural scene — galleries, theaters, and a beloved local food culture * Temperate coastal climate with mild temperatures year-round * Arcata-Eureka Airport offering regional connections to San Francisco and Los Angeles
