Locums – OB Hospitalist | Wichita Falls, TX
Availability- 24-hour shifts
- Ongoing hospitalist coverage opportunity
- OB Hospitalist coverage only
- No GYN responsibilities
- Backup support available via staff call roster
- In-house CRNA available
- MFM on-call support
- Active OB Quality & Safety Committee
- Labor and delivery management
- First assist responsibilities required
- Backup coverage for midwives
- Backup coverage for Family Practice providers
- Supervision of Family Medicine residents during deliveries
- Level II NICU
- Average monthly hospital deliveries: 161
- Average monthly OB Hospitalist deliveries: 7
- Average monthly OB Hospitalist encounters: 282
- Approximately 26% high-risk diagnosis encounters
- Average monthly OB Hospitalist procedures: 284
- Program established November 29, 2017
- 24-hour shift model
- No circumcision responsibilities
- No dedicated first assist available to hospitalists
- Experienced OB/GYN physician comfortable with independent hospitalist coverage
- Comfortable supervising residents during deliveries
- Experienced managing high-risk OB patients
- Team-oriented provider able to collaborate with MFM, anesthesia, and nursing staff
