Job description
• We are seeking a Gynecologic Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity at a leading academic hospital in York, PA.
• This role offers a balanced mix of clinic, operating room, and call responsibilities with strong APP and resident support.
• Work alongside an experienced team including 1 surgeon and 3 APPs in a collaborative environment.
• Flexible block scheduling with approximately 1 week per month coverage, including an extended block in late September to early October.
• Ideal for providers seeking a structured schedule with a mix of surgical and clinical oncology care.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform oncologic gynecologic surgeries in the OR
• Manage outpatient clinic visits (15–20 patients per day)
• Participate in after-hours call coverage (APPs take first call)
• Provide weekend 24-hour call coverage during assigned weeks
• Collaborate with residents, APPs, and multidisciplinary oncology teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC LOQ
• Valid DEA License
• Experience in gynecologic oncology surgery and patient care
• Clean credentialing file for expedited processing (temps available)
Working Hours
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• OR Hours: 7:00/8:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM
• Weekday: Daytime work with after-hours call
• Weekend: 24-hour call coverage
• Special Block: September 19 – October 9 (extended coverage)
• Start Date: Mid-July 2026 through January 2027
