Specialty: Need 1 OBGYN - prefer one who is willing to help with call (not in house call) at Orange Coast Medical Center.
It would be helpful if someone is willing to do full scope plus call, but we will consider someone if they only want to do outpatient.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (45-60 days) Contract Length: through August/September, possible extension Work Details for clinic:
Patients per day: about 20, 15 minutes for follow up, 30 min for procedures and new patients, etc EPIC experience highly preferred Average 18-21 patients per day Adolescents (13+) to geriatrics Office based procedures required - biopsies, IUD placement, nexplanon,etc
Skills required:
Confirmation of Pregnancy >7weeks w/ bedside U/S to confirm
Initial OB visit o Routine OB Visit o Postpartum
Incision Checks o WWE all ages
Procedures- IUD/Nexplanon insertion and removal
I&D for cyst,
Problem visits- UTI, STI, Menopause, HRT, breast pain
Leep, colpo, or emb, cryo, cervical polyps

Qualifications
· License Required: Unrestricted CA license
· DEA: Yes,
BLS or ACLS
· Minimum Experience Required: 2+ years
Physicians must have completed an accredited 4-yr OB/GYN residency program
Credentialing Timeframe:45-60 days
Historically, when we’ve used Ob/Gyn locums it’s been for outpatient-only clinic work. But now we need help on the call side, too. Can you please search for an Ob/Gyn who can do clinic and call for at least 3 months, with the possibility of extending? We’d also consider locums to perm. It’s for Fountain Valley Health & Wellness which is on the OCMC campus, with deliveries at OCMC. (The locums would have to obtain privileges for Orange Coast Medical Center in addition to MCMG credentialing, so March might be a stretch even for temp privileges.)
It’s important to know that our MCMG midwives are on first call. So the Ob/Gyns only get called in if it’s a high-risk delivery or c-section. The hospital also contracts with a laborist group who can fill in while the on-call Ob/Gyn is en route to the hospital.

Shift: Standard 5, Day (8 Hours) 8:00 - 17:00
Block Schedules: No
Schedule Details: Current call schedule is 1 in 4 as secondary. The midwives are primary on call.
Clinic hours are Mon-Fri 8a-5p
Shift Details: Mon-Fri 8a-5p with 1 hour lunch (8a-12p and 1p-5p)
