OB/Gyn Locum in Michigan- Scheduled hours and Call

🏥 Locum Tenens OB/GYN Opportunity (Inpatient + Call)

A well-established community hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive inpatient setting with consistent volume and strong clinical support.

📅 Assignment Details

• Start Date: Late May 2026
• Ongoing Coverage Needed
• Schedule Includes:
  • Orientation shift
  • 24-hour call coverage (in-house)
  • Multiple assignment blocks available

🩺 Practice Setting

• Inpatient only (Labor & Delivery)
• Combination of scheduled clinical care + call
• EMR: Athena & Cerner
• Average Volume:
  • ~4–5 patients per day
  • ~370–380 deliveries annually
• Department Size: ~15 beds

📞 Call Details

• 24-hour in-house call
• Average of ~8 calls per day (~55/week)
• Must:
  • Respond within 10 minutes
  • Be onsite within 30 minutes for emergencies
• Patients must be seen:
  • As clinically indicated
  • Within 12 hours of admission

👩‍⚕️ Clinical Responsibilities

• Full-scope OB/GYN including:
  • Low & high-risk pregnancies
  • Routine & complicated deliveries
  • C-sections and surgical gynecology
  • OB ultrasounds (Level I & II)
  • Emergency OB procedures
  • Minor and major gynecologic procedures

🎓 Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Active state license required (no IMLC)
• Comfortable working with:
  • Family Medicine residents
  • Medical students
• Must be able to manage both assigned and unassigned patients

👥 Support Staff

• 6–8 RNs per day
• Teaching environment with resident support

• Estimated ~60 days
• Temporary privileges not available

• Stroke-certified facility
• Conscious sedation privileges available (training provided if needed)
• Open to multiple providers for ongoing coverage
