Texas Academic OB/GYN Opportunity - 20 Residents
A rewarding Obstetrics & Gynecology opportunity with a major academic health system in Texas serving a diverse, underserved community while helping train the next generation of physicians. The department is committed to comprehensive women’s health care, education, and culturally competent care.
Practice Details
- Growing team: 5 OB/GYNs, 2 midwives, expanding to 4 APPs
- Compensation: Base salary + metric-based bonus and call pay beyond 3 shifts
- Hybrid role: Mix of clinic, OR, laborist, teaching, and research
- Academic environment: 20 OB/GYN residents with medical school on-site
- Modern clinics: 24 exam rooms, procedure and sonogram rooms, genetic testing; 10–12 patients/half day with dedicated support
- Work-life balance: Post-call day off
- High-volume center: 3,200 deliveries, full OB/GYN, neonatology, pediatric subspecialty support
- Advanced facilities: Level I hospital, children’s hospital, Level IV NICU, OB-ER/and OB trauma
- Future growth: New Comprehensive Cancer Center and Ambulatory Center opening 2028
- State-employed position: Pension plan, 8.5% match, and excellent benefits
