This healthcare facility is a well-established medical center serving the Southeast Missouri region with comprehensive women's health services. The facility features an 18-bed department with robust support staff including 24/7 CRNA and respiratory therapy services, dedicated labor and delivery nurses, NICU support, and midwife backup coverage.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services with approximately 6.7 patient encounters per shift
• Work 24-hour call shifts with 1:2 call ratio and midwife backup support
• Handle both low and high risk pregnancies with full delivery services
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, cesarean sections, breech, multiple births, and VBACs
• Manage pregnancy complications including abruptions and decision-making for c-sections
• Conduct OB ultrasounds (Level I and II) with performance and interpretation capabilities
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE and amniocentesis procedures
• Handle repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations and low forceps deliveries
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD insertion, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP procedures
• Perform surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Conduct operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, and cystectomy
• Board certification required with ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
• Must hold Missouri medical license or IMLC
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
