Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare resource for the surrounding community, providing comprehensive women's health services. The facility features a 3-bed labor and delivery department with 14 postpartum beds, supported by 24/7 anesthesiology and radiology services, along with dedicated hospitalist support staff.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology services
• Round on patients and handle emergent cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries
• Manage routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, cesarean sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Perform emergency gynecological procedures as needed
• Handle low-risk pregnancies with routine delivery capabilities
• Conduct OB ultrasounds with performance and interpretation skills
• Manage decision-making for c-sections and VBAC deliveries
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, and LEEP procedures
• Conduct surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must maintain active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA with NC address
• Required NC Medicaid credential and PECOS enrollment
• Board certification required with laser certification
• Must be actively delivering babies with case logs from past 24 months required
• Must be fully vaccinated and available within 20 minutes per hospital bylaws
• Average 27 deliveries monthly with typical census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
• High-risk cases transferred to facilities with NICU capabilities approximately 30-45 minutes away
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
