Facility:
This medical center provides comprehensive women's health services as part of their established obstetrics and gynecology program. The facility features a 3-bed department with a dedicated Laborist program designed to provide continuous coverage for labor and delivery services.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Laborist
Job Details:
• Provide obstetrics and gynecology services in a dedicated Laborist program with 10-15 patient encounters per shift
• Work 12 and 24-hour shifts providing continuous labor and delivery coverage
• Manage low risk pregnancies (required) and high risk pregnancies (preferred)
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct OB ultrasounds with performance and interpretation capabilities
• Level I/Screening ultrasounds required, Level II/Targeted preferred
• Handle routine deliveries including vaginal deliveries and low forceps
• Provide decision-making for cesarean sections
• Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech presentations, and abruptions
• Multiple birth deliveries preferred
• Repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Perform office/minor gynecology procedures including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Provide surgical gynecology services including open procedures
• Perform laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures such as tubal ligation and LOAs
• Handle operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, and cystectomy
• Must be board certified with active California medical license
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe 30-60 days
• Locums-to-permanent opportunity available
