Position Summary:
As part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program.

Position Summary:
As part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to patients including but not limited to providing contraceptive services (at hospitals that provide contraceptive services)
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may only be available by telephone or video consultation
- Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to ensure that all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician, have the safest possible outcomes
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance as requested including practice coverage as requested and as safely available
- 24-hour shifts (majority)
- Some 12-hour or mixed-shift models
- Full-time clinicians typically work 59 (24-hr) shifts per 28-day block

- Clinicians are eligible for coverage with a shift commitment of 5 shifts per 28-day block
- Board Certified or Active Candidate Ob/Gyn Physician
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assigned site
- Highly relational, able to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders (Hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff)
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
