Job description
Locums OB Hospitalist call coverage in South Carolina, covering weekends only with no scheduled surgical cases. Inpatient rounding and unscheduled deliveries, supported by OB Hospitalist backup and guaranteed checkout coverage.
Highlights
- Weekend call coverage only, recurring need beginning January 2027
- No scheduled surgical cases
- OB Hospitalist support, includes guaranteed checkout coverage
- Level 3 NICU onsite with Neonatologists, plus Maternal Fetal Medicine available
Practice Setting
- Inpatient OB coverage for patients approximately age 15 and up
- Work includes inpatient rounding, select consultations, and patient phone calls
- Unscheduled deliveries as needed, approximately 8 to 12 deliveries per weekend
- 517 bed hospital with a 52 bed level 3 NICU onsite
Schedule
- Call coverage every weekend beginning January 2027, with remaining dates listed January through June
- Call runs from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon
- Daytime call with nighttime emergency pager backup, no continuous in house requirement
Cases and Procedures
- Unscheduled deliveries
- No scheduled surgical cases
- Inpatient rounding and select consultations
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- South Carolina license required
- DEA required
