Facility:
This memorial hospital serves the Hood River community with comprehensive women's health services. The facility features a dedicated labor and delivery unit with 4 labor rooms, 4 postpartum rooms, and an operating room within the L&D unit, handling approximately 350 deliveries annually with strong collaboration between OBGYN and Family Medicine physicians.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide OBGYN after-hours clinic call and inpatient OB and GYN emergency department call coverage
• Cover up to 8 call shifts per month, ideally including 2 weekends
• Work 24-hour call shifts with off-site coverage within 15 minutes of facility
• Participate in unassigned OB call and serve as C-section backup for Family Medicine OB physicians
• Handle 16-19 patient encounters per shift
• Manage low and high-risk pregnancies with routine and complicated deliveries
• Perform vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, and C-sections
• Handle breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Conduct FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform Level I ultrasounds (screening/viability) with Level II preferred
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide surgical gynecology services including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Respond within 15 minutes for stat C-sections
• Must maintain active Oregon medical license and DEA registration
• Board Certified OBGYN required with NRP and BLS certification
• Hospital does not offer VBACs or planned deliveries under 35 weeks
• No NICU on-site
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
