Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare resource for the surrounding community, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services. The facility features a Level 1 nursery with 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds, supported by 24/7 hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology services to ensure optimal patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology services
• Round on patients and be available for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
• Handle emergent gynecologic procedures as needed
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and emergent high-risk deliveries
• Average of 27 deliveries monthly with 11 C-sections, typically 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, C-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Conduct OB ultrasounds with performance and interpretation capabilities
• Handle VBAC deliveries and repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services and surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must have active NC license, NC DEA, and NC Medicaid credentials
• Must be currently enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Board certification required with laser certification
• Must be actively delivering babies with case logs from past 24 months required
• Must be fully vaccinated and within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
• Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
• High-risk transfers to New Hanover Regional or Cape Fear Valley (30-45 minutes away)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
