Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare hub for the surrounding community, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services. The facility features a Level 1 nursery with 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds, supported by 24/7 hospitalist staff, anesthesiology, and radiology services.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology services
• Round on patients and remain on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
• Handle emergent gynecological procedures as needed
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and emergent high-risk deliveries
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, C-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Conduct decision-making for cesarean sections and VBAC procedures
• Perform OB ultrasounds with interpretation capabilities
• Handle repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Perform surgical gynecology procedures including open and laparoscopic operations
• Must maintain active NC license, NC DEA, and NC Medicaid credentials
• Must be enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Board certification required with laser certification
• Must be fully vaccinated and actively delivering babies
• Case logs from past 24 months required for submission
• Must remain within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
• Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
• Average of 27 deliveries monthly with 11 C-sections, typically 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
