This facility is a well-established hospital offering comprehensive women's health services to the San Antonio community. The medical center provides a supportive work environment with modern equipment and a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional patient care. As a level 3 trauma center, the facility serves a diverse patient population with varying healthcare needs.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• 3-6 month consistent coverage starting March through May 31st with potential for extension • Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm for OBGYN clinical services • Hospital call coverage required 7-10 days per month • Responsibilities include outpatient clinic, rounding, deliveries, and evening call • High patient volume with 25-30 patient encounters per shift • Must have clean malpractice history • Providers with active Baptist privileges preferred • Minimum 4 days per week commitment required for consistency • Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications • Handle both low and high risk pregnancies • Perform FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) • Conduct OB ultrasounds (Level I required, Level II preferred) • Manage routine deliveries including vaginal births and decision-making for c-sections • Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. • Preferred skills include complicated deliveries (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs) • Preferred skills also include amniocentesis, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations • Surgical gynecology skills preferred (open and laparoscopic procedures) • Active Texas medical license required • 90-day credentialing timeframe

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
