This established hospital in Richmond provides comprehensive women's health services with a collaborative team approach. The facility features modern medical office buildings, onsite lab and ultrasound capabilities, and a Level III NICU, ensuring high-quality care for mothers and newborns.
Opportunity:
Physician - OB/GYN
Job Details:
• Locum to potential permanent position covering for a physician on medical leave (May 1-August 31, 2026) • Office hours 8-4 plus call coverage in a 1:4 rotation through perfect serve system • Work with a collaborative team of 3 physicians and 5 midwives • See approximately 25-30 patients per day with one-on-one clinical staff support • Manage predominantly low-risk pregnancies (90%) with some high-risk cases (10%) • Handle gynecological cases (20% of practice) with opportunity for 1-4 surgeries per day based on provider preference • Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, C-sections (10% of patients), breech, and multiple births • Conduct FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) and read ultrasounds performed by seasoned technicians • Provide comprehensive gynecological services including IUD placement, colposcopy, LEEP procedures • Perform surgical gynecology including open procedures, laparoscopic procedures, and major operative interventions • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN with active VA license (or willing to obtain) • BLS/ACLS certification required • Provider must be local - only mileage is reimbursed • Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days after approved candidate submission
