Hospital of Richmond is seeking a Locum OB/GYN Physician to provide office-based care and hospital call coverage while a physician is on medical leave. The role includes outpatient clinic, inpatient OB coverage, and shared call in a well-supported practice.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform routine and complex OB deliveries, including C-sections
• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Provide 24-hour weekday and weekend call coverage
• Perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and clinical staff
• Document care using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)
• BLS and ACLS certification (Required)
• NPDB Self-Query within 30 days (Required)
• Must be a local provider; mileage reimbursement only (Required)
• Clean malpractice history
Working Hours
• 24-hour call coverage on weekdays
• 24-hour weekend call coverage
• Call ratio: 1 in 4
Skills
• High- and low-risk obstetrics
• VBACs and complex deliveries
• GYN procedures (IUD, LEEP, colposcopy)
• Minor laparoscopic and open GYN surgeries
• Fetal heart rate interpretation
• Epic EMR
