Medical Center is seeking a Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist for inpatient-only coverage
• High-acuity OBED and delivery coverage
• In-house 24-hour call model
• EMR: Epic
• Facility is not accepting local providers from the Des Moines area
• High-acuity OBED and delivery coverage
• In-house 24-hour call model
• EMR: Epic
• Facility is not accepting local providers from the Des Moines area
Job Responsibilities
• Provide emergent obstetric care, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Care for patients without a primary OB/GYN
• Participate in Iowa’s only maternity transport team
• Inpatient OB hospitalist coverage only (no GYN responsibilities)
Qualifications
– Truly Board Eligible candidates may be considered
• Active Iowa medical license – STRONGLY PREFERRED
– OR Active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)
• Ability to start ASAP – REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice and background – REQUIRED
• Provider must NOT be local to the Des Moines area – REQUIRED
Working Hours
• Shifts per Month: 6.5
• Call: 24/7 in-house call
• Weekend Coverage: Yes
• NOTE: Providers may not work more than two consecutive 24-hour shifts
