Clinton offers a charming small-town atmosphere in eastern North Carolina with a strong sense of community. The city provides easy access to outdoor activities and is conveniently located within 30-45 minutes of larger medical centers like New Hanover Regional and Cape Fear Valley.
Facility:
This regional medical center provides essential women's health services to the Clinton community. The facility features a dedicated labor and delivery unit with 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds. With full support staff including 24/7 on-call Anesthesiology and Radiology, the center handles approximately 27 deliveries monthly including 11 C-Sections.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• 24-hour call shifts covering Friday 8AM through Monday 8AM on specific dates in April
• Round on patients, on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
• Available for emergent GYN procedures
• Must handle both routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, C-section, breech, and multiple births
• Manage pregnancy complications including abruptions and VBAC procedures
• Decision-making authority for C-sections
• Perform OB ultrasounds with interpretation capabilities (Level I/II preferred)
• Conduct FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE preferred)
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, etc.)
• Perform surgical gynecology procedures including open and laparoscopic operations
• Must have active NC license and NC DEA (with NC address)
• NC Medicaid credential and PECOS enrollment required
• Board Certification required with clean professional history
• Must be currently delivering babies (case logs required for past 24 months)
• Must be fully vaccinated
• Housing provided in hospital apartments adjacent to facility
• Must remain within 20 minutes of hospital per bylaws
