Position Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible OB-GYN
Practice location: Hartford, Connecticut
Join an 868-bed tertiary academic medical center
Hospital-based OB Hospitalist role
Key Responsibilities:
Provide call coverage and Labor & Delivery (L&D) support
Care for inpatient obstetric and gynecologic patients
Provide OB and GYN consultations on inpatient floors and in the Emergency Department
Supervise and collaborate with residents, fellows, midwives, and advanced practice nurses
Serve as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response Team
Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality review committees
Implement quality improvement programs and evidence-based medicine
Academic & Clinical Environment:
Extensive subspecialty support including:
- Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Urogynecology
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Minimally Invasive Gynecology
Level I Trauma Center
Level IV NICU
Largest of three sites responsible for training 40 UConn OB-GYN residents
