Opportunity:
Board Certification - OBGYN Laborist

Job Details:
• Part-time position with 5 shifts per month • Provide comprehensive care for women in labor, including monitoring labor progress and managing deliveries • Perform and assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries • Provide triage services for obstetric patients presenting with urgent or emergent conditions • Work closely with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing updates and education about their care • Deliver compassionate, appropriate and effective patient care for treatment of health problems and health promotion • Manage the obstetric unit, participate in labor management, obstetric triage and support of maternal fetal medicine service • Provide support and consultation to midwifery and Family Medicine services • Demonstrate professionalism through commitment to carrying out responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles, and sensitivity to diverse patient populations • Attend scheduled departmental and mandatory meetings and participate on assigned committees • MD or DO degree required • Must maintain active medical license and DEA license • Board Certification in medical subspecialty required upon hire • Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital policies, practices, protocols, regulations and guidelines • Possess skills in initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision-making • Develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public
