Facility:
This established medical center provides comprehensive women's health services with a dedicated laborist program. The facility features a supportive work environment with a 3-bed department focused on delivering high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care to the community.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Laborist
Job Details:
• Locums-to-perm opportunity with potential for long-term placement
• Work 12 and 24 hour shifts in an established laborist program
• Manage 10-15 patient encounters per shift
• Handle low risk pregnancies (required) and high risk pregnancies (preferred)
• Perform FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
• Manage routine deliveries including vaginal births and low forceps deliveries
• Make decisions regarding c-section interventions
• Handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
• Conduct surgical gynecology procedures including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Perform operative/major procedures including treatment of ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Must be board certified with current BLS and PALS certifications
• Must have active California medical license
• Credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
