This facility is a well-established medical center serving the La Porte community with comprehensive women's health services. With 85 beds in the department, the hospital provides quality care in a supportive environment with modern medical technologies and a collaborative healthcare team.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Coverage needed for specific 2025 dates: Dec 5-8, Dec 19-22, Dec 26-29, and Dec 31 (7am shifts)
• Manage approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Handle low-risk pregnancies with FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• Perform OB ultrasound interpretation
• Conduct routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps procedures
• Make decisions regarding c-section necessity
• Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Conduct required surgical gynecology procedures including open surgery
• Handle operative/major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy
• Must be board certified with active Indiana medical license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Laser certification
• 30-day estimated credentialing timeframe
• Accommodations available at Holiday Inn Express - La Porte
• Nearest airport: Midway Airport - Chicago
