Facility:
This regional medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services to the community with a focus on patient-centered care. The facility includes an 11-bed OB department and is experiencing staffing challenges due to providers on FMLA, sabbatical, and new hires, creating an urgent need for qualified OB/GYN physicians.

Opportunity:
Board Certification Eligible - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:
• Coverage needed for multiple dates in November and December, with opportunity for ongoing assignments
• Provider will be added to pool for future dates once onboarded
• Manage 2-5 patient encounters per shift in an OB clinic setting
• Must have clean NPDB and malpractice history for temporary privileges
• Handle both low and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• Conduct OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted anatomic
• Perform amniocentesis procedures
• Manage routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps
• Decision-making for c-section cases
• Handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• VBAC deliveries preferred but not required
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide surgical gynecology including open procedures
• Perform laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation)
• Handle operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs
• Must hold active North Carolina medical license
• ACLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe is 30-60 days, with temporary privileges available for qualified candidates
• Various lodging accommodations available
