We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OBGYN Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Yuma, Arizona. This role offers block scheduling, a busy L&D unit, and 24-hour in-house coverage with excellent support.
Job Responsibilities
Schedule: Block scheduling available – multiple 24-hour shifts in a row
Coverage: 24-hour in-house call (call room provided onsite)
Setting: Inpatient – 24-bed Labor & Delivery unit
Average Volume: ~300 deliveries/month
Team Structure: 1 MD + 1 CNM per 24-hour shift
EMR: Epic
Qualifications
DEA license required
Certifications: BLS & Fetal Monitoring
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency completion)
OB responsible for postpartum care for C-section patients
CNM leads standard deliveries; OB steps in for complications
MFM available locally for high-risk cases
C-section proficiency required
Working Hours
Standard Privileging: 60–90 days
Expedited/Temporary Privileges: Possible for clean files with active AZ license
