Locums OB/GYN coverage in Michigan, mixing clinic and 24-hour call blocks with an ongoing need
Highlights
- Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient call coverage
- Ongoing coverage need for 3 months to start
- Clinic support includes a Nurse Practitioner and 3 nurses per shift
- Fast credentialing, typically about 30 days; applications prioritized by start date
Practice Setting
- Inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN coverage
- Clinic volume averages about 2 patients per hour, depending on appointment length
- Patient population includes adults, plus newborn circumcisions
- Supported by a Nurse Practitioner and 3 nurses scheduled per shift
Schedule
- 24-hour call coverage during specified blocks
- One business day of orientation prior to start
Cases and Procedures
- C-sections and deliveries
- Suction D&C, laparoscopy, tubal ligations
- Read NSTs
- Circumcisions
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board-certified OB/GYN, or board-eligible within 5 years
- Michigan license; will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only; open to IMLC Physicians
- ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Case logs showing 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within 12 months
