OB/GYN Physician – Inpatient Nights | High-Need Dates: Aug 4 & 7

Position Type: Locum Tenens or Short-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician to provide night shift inpatient coverage in Washington, MO. This role supports a high-functioning women’s health team during a period of elevated patient volume. Coverage is especially needed on August 4th and August 7th.

Department Overview:

• 16 total beds

  • 8 LDRP

  • 8 Couplet Care / GYN

• Staffing Ratios:

  • 1:1 RN during labor

  • 2:1 RN postpartum

  • 4:1 RN for women’s health

Support Team:

• 1 NP in the outpatient office

• 16 office staff (including MAs, RNs, and PSRs)

Coverage Details:

• Shift: Nights only (7 PM – 7 AM typical)

• Dates of High Need: August 4th & August 7th

• Weekdays only – daytime is already covered by existing providers

• Additional night coverage during this period is greatly appreciated

• EMR System: Epic

Requirements:

• Active Missouri medical license – Required at time of name clear

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN

• Inpatient experience with L&D, postpartum, and GYN care

• Comfortable working independently overnight with support available as needed
