We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated OB/GYN Laborist Locum to join our esteemed medical facility in Washington. As an OB/GYN Laborist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our OB patients, assisting with managing patient volumes, and alleviating the call burden for our current OB/GYN providers. The position entails coverage assistance, including call-only in-house shifts, with a focus on managing deliveries and performing a variety of OBGYN surgeries and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: You will be responsible for managing 10-15 patients per shift, with a focus on obstetric patients.
  • Deliveries: The facility has an annual volume of 2870 deliveries, and you will be actively involved in overseeing and managing the labor and delivery process.
  • Call Coverage: The role requires providing call coverage for specific dates, ranging from 12-hour to 24-hour shifts. The coverage period starts ASAP and continues through 08/30/2024.
  • In-House Call: You will be sequestered on-site for 12 or 24-hour call shifts, ideally taking on eight or more shifts per month.
  • Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
  • Temporary Privileges: Temporary privileges are available for providers with a clean history, allowing for a smooth onboarding process.
  • Active License: Candidates are required to have an active medical license in the state of Washington.
  • Surgical Skills: Successful candidates should be proficient in performing all OBGYN surgeries and procedures, including but not limited to miscarriages (suction D&C), ectopics (laparoscopic, laparotomy), torsion (laparoscopic, laparotomy), cesarean sections, and hysterectomies.

If you possess the required skills and expertise, and you are interested in contributing to our dynamic team, we encourage you to apply. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the healthcare of OB patients in Washington.
