Locum Nocturnist (Hospital Medicine) - Dublin GA - Immediate Start - Open ICU

Schedule & Call:

• Night Shift Coverage: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• No offsite call requirement (100% in-house coverage)
• Schedule includes weeknight and weekend shifts

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide nocturnal hospitalist coverage, including night admissions (12–20 per night) and open ICU rounding/care for up to 8 CCU patients
• Respond to and run hospital codes and independently manage patient resuscitation prior to specialist arrival
• Manage initial ventilator care (first 24 hours/vent bundle), vasopressor titration, anti-arrhythmic drips, and Nicardipine drips
• Perform central lines and paracentesis (thoracentesis preferred)
• Staff patients with and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as needed
• Must be proficient with critical care time billing documentation

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with hospitalist experience
• Active Georgia state medical license in hand
• Active Georgia DEA registration
• Clean background and clean malpractice file (mandatory)
• Proven competency in ICU admissions, running codes, resuscitation, and critical care rounding
• Minimum 2 years of clinical case logs required for credentialing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience performing thoracentesis procedures preferred

• Practice setting: Inpatient Hospital / Open ICU (Level III Trauma Center)
• Total hospital bed capacity: 190 beds (Average Acute Census: 104)
• Orientation: 1-day shadow and 1-day EMR orientation
