Locum Physician - Nocturnist in Petoskey, MI | Hospitalist Night Shift

- Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), 7-on/7-off schedule
- Duration: 12/01/26 – 06/30/27
- Hours/Week: 84 hours (based on 7 shifts)
- Employment Type: Locum
- Experience Needed: Internal Medicine, Adult Inpatient (non-ICU/CCU), prior hospitalist experience preferred
- Certifications: Medical license in Michigan or eligible, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine
Pay & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $198.90 (including malpractice)

What You’ll Do:
- Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage during night shifts
- Conduct patient rounds on approximately 16 inpatient cases daily
- Respond to code situations as needed
- Collaborate with APP support for admissions and patient care
- Use Cerner EMR system for documentation and order entry
- Support continuous patient care and safety initiatives
What You Need:
- Valid medical license in Michigan or eligible for license application
- At least 2 years of hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience
- Strong internal medicine skills with adult inpatient focus
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
