Position Overview:

A well-established hospital medicine program in Troy, NY is seeking a dedicated Nocturnist Physician to join its collaborative inpatient care team, strong clinical support, and an excellent work-life balance. The physician will provide overnight hospitalist coverage while working alongside experienced hospitalists, APPs, nursing staff, and specialty teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overnight inpatient hospital medicine coverage for adult patients
• Evaluate and manage admissions, cross-cover patients, and coordinate care plans
• Respond to rapid response events and hospital emergencies
• Collaborate with daytime hospitalists, specialists, nursing teams, and ancillary staff
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in the inpatient setting
• Ensure safe transitions of care and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs

Practice Environment:

• Established hospital medicine team with strong physician support
• Closed ICU model with intensivist coverage available
• APP support integrated into the care team
• No required ICU management or procedures
• Dedicated hospitalist workspace and administrative support
• Fully integrated EMR system

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active New York medical license or ability to obtain
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
• Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• New graduates and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
