We are hiring for a Hospitalist and a Nocturnist. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• We are seeking a day hospitalist and a nocturnist to join our close-knit team of four physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs) at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital.
• Work alongside diverse clinicians from the Tri-state Area, including NYC, NJ, and the Hudson Valley. Our team collaborates closely and is encouraged to participate in medical committees, contributing to shared decision-making and professional development.

• Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.

Flexible Scheduling:

• The full-time day physician position has a week-on, week-off schedule, and the part-time day physician position has a more flexible schedule.
• For the nocturnist position, we offer flexible scheduling options and the option of week on, week off.

Key Responsibilities:

• The care for medical and surgical patients in a Level 3 trauma community hospital with a 15-bed census, 5-bed ICU, and 22 inpatient psychiatry beds.
• Serve a diverse patient population in a low-volume ED with high acuity, providing essential specialty services such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease, and podiatry.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a hospital that functions as a primary receiving stroke center, holds a geriatric-accredited emergency department, and serves as a department of correction receiving facility.
• Collaborate with team members and utilize the hospital’s outpatient clinic for coordinated care.
