The Department of Neurology at the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and academically-oriented Neuromuscular Neurologist to join our Neuromuscular Division. This open-rank faculty position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to clinical care, education, and academic scholarship within a nationally recognized medical school and vibrant healthcare system.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will provide expert care for patients with neuromuscular disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role includes opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, and neuromuscular fellows, as well as participating in health seminars and consultative services. The position is ideal for candidates with a passion for academic medicine and a commitment to advancing neuromuscular care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care for patients with neuromuscular conditions.
  • Conduct outpatient and inpatient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Offer health counseling and participate in preventative medicine initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in health seminars and consultative services.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, neurology residents, and neuromuscular fellows.
  • Engage in departmental service, academic activities, and collaborative research.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • M.D. or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Completion of a residency program in Neurology and fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine.
  • Meets university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine.
  • Experience in academic medicine, clinical research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring.
