Why This Role
Defined 24-hour call blocks
Hospital-based coverage with daily rounding
Neurosurgery APP support
Imaging, lab, procedure rooms, and OR onsite
Assignment Details
Dates: October 29 at 8 a.m.–November 6 at 8 a.m., 2026
Additional block: December 24 at 8 a.m.–December 28 at 8 a.m., 2026
Schedule: 24-hour call, including weekends within each block
Coverage type: Emergency call, emergent surgery, inpatient rounding, and admissions
Volume: Approximately 5–10 inpatients daily
Setting: Hospital-based
Support: 1 neurosurgeon, 1 orthopedic spine surgeon, and neurosurgery APPs in clinic
EMR: Cerner
Credentialing: Timeframe not provided
Clinical Details
Both spinal and cranial neurosurgery required
Emergent surgical intervention
Daily inpatient rounding and admissions
Requirements
BC required; BE not accepted
Active MI license required
Completed fellowship with at least 2–3 years of experience
ACLS
Ability to cover both spinal and cranial cases
Ground travel required; no flights
