Locums | Neurosurgery | Petoskey, MI (Active MI license required) Why This Role

  • On-site imaging, lab, and OR resources
Assignment Details Upcoming coverage: - October 29, 2026, 8a – November 6, 2026, 8a - December 24, 2026, 8a – December 28, 2026, 8a Schedule: 24-hour call blocks, 8a–8a Coverage type: Call + Inpatient Rounding Setting: Hospital-based Neurosurgery Call responsibilities: Emergent consultations and surgeries Rounding: Daily inpatient rounding and admissions Volume: Approximately 5–10 inpatients/day Support: Neurosurgeon, orthopedic spine surgeon, and Neurosurgery APPs Resources: On-site imaging, laboratory, procedure rooms, and OR EMR: Cerner Credentialing: Timeframe TBD Clinical Details Emergency cranial and spinal Neurosurgery Both cranial and spinal surgical procedures required Emergent Neurosurgery consultations Emergency operative interventions Daily inpatient rounding Hospital admissions and inpatient management Coordination with Neurosurgery and orthopedic spine teams Requirements Board Certified in Neurosurgery; Board Eligible not accepted Active Michigan medical license required ACLS required Completed fellowship with at least 2–3 years of experience Must perform both cranial and spinal surgery Experience managing emergent Neurosurgery cases Clean background with no disciplinary actions Recent NPDB self-query required Availability for requested 24-hour call blocks Drive-in candidates only; no flights Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed, subject to facility restrictions
