IR support for lumbar punctures
Assignment Details
Start: ASAP upon credentialing
Duration: Through December 2026; listed end date January 1, 2027
Schedule: Saturday–Monday weekend blocks or seven-day blocks with 24-hour coverage; exact structure to be confirmed
Coverage: In-house neurohospitalist call
Volume: 8–15 patients daily
Setting: Inpatient, stroke-certified hospital
Support: 1 RN; IR team available for lumbar punctures
No APP or resident supervision required
EMR: Cerner
Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
Clinical Details
Inpatient neurology coverage and consultations
Must read own EEGs
Lumbar punctures can be handled by IR
No admissions required
Requirements
BC/BE welcome
Active Texas license required
Current ACLS and BLS
ABLS
Active DEA
Availability for coverage through December 2026
