Job Responsibilities
Perform and interpret electromyography (EMG) studies and related electrodiagnostic evaluations within the physician's training, credentials, and privileges.
Maintain the required procedural capacity of at least 16 EMGs per day.
Integrate electrodiagnostic findings with patient history, examination findings, and other diagnostic information.
Document and communicate test results accurately and promptly.
Develop individualized treatment plans and manage neurological conditions through appropriate therapies and follow-up.
Explain diagnoses, procedures, and results to patients in clear, accessible language.
Coordinate care with referring clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate clinical records and follow applicable professional, privacy, and credentialing standards.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Neurology residency.
Neurology board certification preferred; board-eligible candidates may inquire, subject to the specific opening's requirements.
Appropriate Florida medical licensure by the required start date, subject to credentialing and approval.
Demonstrated proficiency performing and interpreting EMG studies.
Ability to perform at least 16 EMGs per day.
Recent electrodiagnostic experience, with the ability to discuss procedural volume and case complexity.
Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, and documentation skills.
Excellent patient communication and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
