Role Description:
- Neurologist
- Denver, CO
- Outpatient Primary Care
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and managing conditions affecting the nervous system
- General Outpatient neurology position.
- Conducting Neurological Exams: Assessing physical and cognitive function, including reflexes, cranial nerves, balance, muscle strength, sensory perception, and coordination.
- Ordering and Interpreting Diagnostic Tests: Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to pinpoint the structural or electrical root of a issue:
- Neuroimaging: Brain and spine MRI, CT scans, and PET scans.
- Electrophysiology: EEG (brain activity monitoring), EMG (muscle activity testing), and NCS (nerve conduction studies).
- Laboratory Work & Procedures: Lumbar punctures (spinal taps) and blood or genetic panels.
- Designing Treatment Plans: Prescribing pharmaceuticals, recommending physical or occupational therapy, managing medical devices (like deep brain stimulators or vagus nerve stimulators), and coordinating multidisciplinary care.
Requirements:
- Colorado State Medical License
- Must be Board Certified / Board Eligible Neurology
